Ich habe mir ein Shirt genäht! Es ist sehr schlicht, mit Spitzenstoff, den ich von einem früheren Kleid übrig hatte.
Es macht vielleicht nicht den Anschein, aber die Idee dazu war eher technisch, deshalb hier einige erklärende Zeichnungen:
Die einfachste Form für ein Oberteil wäre ja folgende:
Die meisten Kleidungsstücke sind aber an die menschliche Figur angepasst, indem die Schultern schräg verlaufen, die Oberteile an der Taille enger werden und die Armausschnitte rund sind.
Ich fragte mich, wie der Stoff an den Armen wohl fallen würde, wenn die Armausschnitte nicht rund wären. Deshalb habe ich den "fehlenden Teil" mit Spitzenstoff ergänzt.
Wie ihr sehen könnt, habe ich die Ärmel am Schluss doch noch etwas angeschnitten, damit ich sie einfacher annähen konnte. Mit dem Resultat bin ich sehr zufrieden: Die Ärmel fallen schön und alltagstauglich ist es obendrein.

I sewed a Shirt! It's very simple, with lace I had left from an older dress.
The question that lead to the shirts' final form was actually quite technical (I've made some drawings so you can follow my thoughts): The most simple shape for a top would be just a rectangle with a hole for the head in the middle. But most clothes follow the shape of the body: The shoulders are sloped, the top gets more narrow at the waist and the armholes are curved. I wondered how a shirt would look if the armholes where not curved but straight. So I completed the "missing part" with lace. I only trimmed the lace a little bit, so it would be easier to sew on.
I'm very happy with the result: The sleeves accentuate the shoulders nicely and for once I even sewed something I can wear in everyday life.
