Kompakte Sachen für unterwegs

Hallo allerseits

So, Sommerferien!

Hello everyone

Finally vacations are here! We will be away soon. And as I don't like to carry too much stuff when travelling, I sewed an extra small pencilcase. And then I made another wallet, which also is rather compact.

But first to the pencilcase: I wanted to take a ball-pen, a pencil, a sharpener and some drawing pens with me. The fabric I used is a cork rectangle, 14 x 18 cm in size.

I sewed one half of a zipper to each long side. On the short sides I also attached two straps. And that's basically it. They are really made in no time. And in the end I even fit some additinal colour pencils in.

The wallet is made with the same cork, the print of which I really like. For the inside I used reinforced paper, like I did with my paper wallets. But unlike then, there's only space for four cards, to save space.

I added velcro to the coin compartement. A customer recommended this, as it would make it less likely for coins to fall out. This was a very great tipp! I also added another compartment with a zipper. On the second last picture I put the new wallet next to an older one. You can see that it's less wide high and broad. Put when filled it gets kind of wide. That's why I had to attach a second button, more on the edge than I had planned. But so far it's very handy.

So, and now I'll say goodbye for a while. Have a great summer everyone!
