Strickmütze

Hallo zusammen

In meinem letzten Beitrag habe ich ja ein Stirnband gehäkelt, hätte aber lieber eine Mütze gehabt. Nun, die ist jetzt schon eine Weile fertig:

Tja, und im Moment bin ich wirklich froh darum, weil es ja doch etwas kalt ist. Und sie war nicht mal so schwierig zu machen. Das Zopfmuster ist am Anfang zwar eine ziemliche Fummelei, aber vom Prinzip her einfach. Anstatt es kompliziert zu erklären, habe ich es gefilmt und auf Giphy ein .gif gemacht. Ich hoffe, man erkennt es gut genug!

Man strickt also die erste Hälfte des Zopfs (hier 2 Maschen) nicht sofort, sondern nimmt die Maschen zuerst auf eine Extranadel. Dann strickt man zuerst die zweite Hälfte des Zopfs und erst am Schluss die Maschen auf der Extranadel. So entsteht die Verdrehung. Das ist alles!

Maybe you remember: In my last post I crocheted a headband, although I had preferred a hat, really. Well, I finished this winter hat a while ago now. And I'm very glad I have it at the moment, since it's rather cold. And it wasn't that hard to make. The cable stitches where a fiddly job at the beginning, but the concept is simple. I tried filming it and turned it into a .gif via Giphy instead of writing a long explanation. I hope that's easier!

Basically, you don't knit the first half of the cable (2 stitches) immediately. Instead, you place them on an extra needle. Then you first knit the second half of the cable. The stitches ond the extra needle then come last. That's how you make the twist. And that's it!

Gestrickt

Ich bevorzuge ja meistens Röcke statt Hosen. Aber wenn ich Hosen trage, dann sind sie garantiert selbst gestrickt und voll mit Schnörkeln. Darf ich vorstellen: Die Wollshorts.
Vor etwa zwei Monaten besuchte ich einen Anfänger-Strickkurs. Es war toll, weil wir selber entscheiden konnten, was wir stricken wollten. Anfangs hatte ich mir etwas Kleineres und Einfacheres vorgestellt, eine Mütze vielleicht. Aber dann fiel mein Blick auf die Anleitung für diese Hosen und die Sache war klar: Wollhosen mussten her! Das ist das erste Mal, dass ich erfolgreich ein Kleidungsstück für mich gestrickt habe, darum bin ich sehr glücklich mit dem Resultat, auch wenn es einige Fehler hat. Ich lernte, Zöpfe zu stricken, Maschen zu- und abzunehmen und Strickanleitungen zu entziffern. Obwohl: gegen Schluss wurde die Anleitung ziemlich verwirrend (sie war übrigens aus der Zeitschrift Rebecca) und weil der Kurs da bereits zu Ende war, musste ich raten. Aber es scheint ja alles zu passen.

Und obwohl ich mir reichlich doof vorkam, Selfies von meinem Po zu machen, sind hier natürlich noch 2 Fotos von den Hosen, während ich sie trage.

Hello my dears

You know, I do prefer skirts to trousers. But when I wear trousers, they are sure to be handknitted and ornamented all over. May I present to you: the wool shorts.
About two months ago I visited a beginners class for knitting. It was great because we where free to knit what we wanted. Initially I had planned to do something smaller and easier like a hat. But then I spotted the instruction for this pants and I wanted to have them! This is the first time I successfully knitted garments for myself, so I am very happy with the result, even if it has some faults. I learnt how to knit braids, increase and decrease stitches and make sense of knitting instructions. Although at the end the whole thing got very confusing (It's from the magazine Rebecca by the way) and as the course was already finished I had to guess. But it seems to fit so I guess it's alright.
And although I felt kind of stupid to take photos of my bottom, here are of course two photos of the pants while I'm wearing them.

Was mache ich hier eigentlich genau?

Ihr Lieben
Endlich habe ich unter "Was ist...?" einige Begriffe erläutert, die ich hier in diesem Blog häufig gebrauche. Damit habe ich auch gleichzeitig einen meiner Neujahrsvorsätze erfüllt. Es sind recht persönliche Definitionen und ich habe versucht, mich kurz zu halten. Und irgendwann wusste ich nicht mehr weiter und habe anstattdessen angefangen zu zeichnen -_-
Im Moment sind die Begriffe alle erst auf Deutsch. Ich werde bald auch eine Übersetzung schreiben. Das wird nicht mehr so lange dauern, versprochen! Wenn ihr übrigens findet, dass etwas fehlt oder mit etwas ganz und gar nicht einverstanden seid, lasst es mich wissen!
Und da dies jetzt doch ein eher kurzer Post war, hier noch einige willkürliche Fotos von Dingen, die im Moment in meinem Arbeitszimmer herumliegen:

Finally I succeeded in explaining some terms I often use in this blog (under "Was ist...?"). In doing this, I resolved one of my new years resolutions. Hooray for that! My definitions turned out quite personally, and I also tried to keep them short. And in the end I didn't know how to explain better and started drawing instead -_-
Unfortunately, the therms are only in German at the moment. I'll translate it soon, I promise!
And as this is a rather short post I added some random photos of things that are lying around in my work room.
