Ich hoffe, ihr habt das neue Jahr gut angefangen! Zumindest wo ich wohne, ist es bis jetzt eine recht trübe Angelegenheit. Aber zum Glück verkrümle ich mich sehr gerne in der Wohnung! Mein Freund und ich verbrachten Neujahr damit, "die Zeitmaschine" aus dem Jahre 1960 zu schauen. Weil doch ein Film über die Vergänglichkeit der menschlichen Zivilisation der perfekte Auftakt in ein neues Jahr ist, nicht wahr? (Und weil eben das Wetter zu schlecht war, um etwas draussen zu unternehmen. Und weil es für mich ein traditioneller Neujahrs-Film ist, den ich Dominik unbedingt zeigen wollte).
Am Abend gingen wir dann, wie schon in den letzten Jahren, das Feuerwerk schauen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass unser geheimer Aussichtspunkt nicht mehr so geheim ist wie auch schon und die höheren Feuerwerke verschwanden im Nebel, aber schön war's trotzdem.

So, und bevor ich mich noch länger davor drücken kann, möchte ich auch dieses Jahr schauen, ob ich meine Vorsätze für 2015 einhalten konnte:
1. Mindestens 2 Posts pro Monat schreiben
Da bin ich total gescheitert! Während gleich drei Monaten habe ich nur einen einzigen Post geschrieben und auch sonst kam ich 2015 weniger zum Schreiben als 2014. Klar, ich arbeite mehr als damals, als ich diesen Blog startete. Klar mache ich im Moment noch eine Weiterbildung. Aber trotzdem bin ich nicht zufrieden.
2. Eine Seite machen, wo ich die wichtigsten Begriffe, die in diesem Blog vorkommen, in eigenen Worten erkläre, wie z.B. Lolita, Mittelalterszene oder D.I.Y.
Erledigt! Und ich stelle mir gerne vor, dass das auch daran liegt, dass ich es mir hier fest vorgenommen habe. Eine Übersetzung in's Englische steht aber noch aus.
3. Ein Lolita-Outfit zu nähen, das nicht vom Rokoko, sondern von einer anderen Ära inspiriert ist.
Das Sailor Lolita-Outfit (50ies) und das Schildmaid-Kleid (Fantasy-Mittelalter) erfüllen diese Anforderung. Allerdings war es nicht das, was ich eigentlich geplant hatte. Aber mittlerweile habe ich von einer Freundin passenden Stoff bekommen. Renaissance, ich komme!
Was mache ich jetzt also mit meinen unerfüllten Vorsätzen? Nehme ich mir nochmals dasselbe vor? Soll ich mir drei neue Vorsätze fassen, wohl wissend, dass ich sie vielleicht einhalte und vielleicht auch nicht? Ich war überzeugt davon, dass ich Vorsätze eher einhalten würde, wenn ich sie "öffentlich" verkündige, weil sie so verbindlicher werden. Das stimmt zwar teilweise, Wunder bewirken kann es aber auch nicht. Deshalb möchte ich dieses Jahr einfach schreiben, welche Projekte ich mir für 2016 vorgenommen habe:
1. Das Belle Epoque-Kleid. Von den Recherchen habe ich ja schon geschrieben, und jetzt bin ich fleissig am Nähen.
2. Ein neues Mittelalterkleid. Auch aus praktischen Gründen! Keine Wolle diesmal, sondern nur schönes, kühlendes Leinen.
3. Ein zweites Cosplay-Kostüm für die Fantasy-Basel.
4. Aus alten Kleidern und Stoffresten etwas nähen. Die Stoffresten sammeln sich an und ich finde es störend, immer neuen Stoff zu kaufen, obwohl so viele Resten herumliegen.
5. Siehe letzter Vorsatz von 2015 :-)
Natürlich spuken noch mehr Sachen in meinem Kopf herum, aber ich weiss, dass ich sie sowieso nie alle verwirklichen kann. Ich glaube, ich habe auch schon genug darüber geklagt, wie lange es jeweils geht, bis ich eine Idee wirklich umsetze. Geht es euch auch so?

I hope you started the new year well! 2016 seems to be a rather bleak thing, at least where I live. But fortunately I absolutely don't mind staying inside. My boyfriend and I spent the first of January watching "The Time Machine" from 1960. Because what better way to start into the future than with a film about the fleetingness of human achievements? (And also, as I said, the weather was really bad and I wanted to show this film to Dominik). In the evening we went to see the firework again. As it turned out, our secret lookout place isn't that secret anymore and the higher rockets vanished in the mist, but I enjoyed it nevertheless.
And now, before I can delay it any longer, let's see if I could reach my goals for 2015:
1. Write at least 2 posts per month.
I totally failed at this! There where 3 months where I only wrote one single post and I wrote generally less in 2015 than I did in 2014. Yeah sure, I work more than I did when I started this blog and I'm also doing a CAS, but I'm not content.
2. Make a page where I explain the most important terms of this blog.
Done! And I like to think I did this partly because I resolved to to this last January. The English translation is still not done, though.
3. Sew a Lolita outfit that's inspired by another era than rococo.
I think I achieved this with the Sailor Lolita-Outfit (50ies) and the "Schildmaid" dress (medieval Fantasy) But these weren't what I really had in mind. But in the meantime I got a wonderful fabric from a friend. Renaissance, I'm coming!
So what am I going to do with all the unfulfilled resolutions? Should I try the same again or take 3 new resolutions which I might or might not fulfill? I was sure I would keep my promises when I write them down "in public" because this would make them more binding. I still think this is partly true, but it can't work wonders. So for 2016, I merely want to tell you about some sewing plans I have in mind. I hope you will like them!
1. The Belle Epoque dress. I already wrote about my researches and now I'm sewing it.
2. A new medieval dress. Mainly for practical reasons. No hot wool this time, but only nice, cool linen.
3. A second cosplay costume for the Fantasy-Basel.
4. Sewing something out of old clothes and pieces. I got more and more of them and it somewhat bothers me that I keep buying new fabric with them lying around.
5. See 2015's resolution number 3 :-)
Of course there are even more ideas but it's no good writing them down, because I won't be able to work on all of them. I think I have moaned enough about taking too long from idea to finished project in the past. Do you have those problems too?
