Pixel sticken

Vor wenigen Wochen habe ich an einem neuen Ort zu arbeiten begonnen, deshalb komme ich im Moment nur zu Kleinigkeiten. Wie zum Beispiel einem selbstgemachten Nadelkissen. Man nehme ca. 10 x 10 cm speziellen Stoff zum Sticken ("der mit den grossen regelmässigen Löchern drin"), ein altes Videospiel als Vorlage und sticke die einzelnen Pixel mit Kreuzstich. Danach mit einem zweiten Stoffstück an drei Seiten zunähen, mit Stopfwatte füllen und von Hand zunähen. Et voilà! Ich wünschte nur, ich hätte im Moment Geduld gehabt, Link aus "Legend of Zelda" zu sticken statt "Space Invaders". Aber das wird ja vielleicht auch noch.

Pixel-Embroidery

Hello my dears

A few weeks ago I started working at a new place, that's why I'm only doing smaller projects at the moment. Like a selfmade pin cushion. All you need is a special fabric for embroidery ("the one with the big regular holes" and an old video game as a model. Cross-stitch the pixels onto the fabric, then take a second piece of fabric and sew it together on three sides. Fill it with cotton wool and close the cushion manually. Et voilà! I only wish I had had enough patience to do Link of "the Legend of Zelda" instead of "Space Invaders". But maybe I'll get to it in time.
